I bass fish. I have a 6,6 medium heavy spinning rod and I used to use it for pitching into cover with heavy line. However now I am getting a true pitching and flipping set up, 7' heavy action casting rod. So what should I use the one I using before for? I already have a pole with 12 lb mono on baitcaster for topwaters, spinners, and crankbaits. I have a spinning combo with fluorocarbon for lighter lures and finesse work. I have a medium action spinning rod with a light braided line for texas rigs and bottom crawling presentations. So what will the 6'6 medium heavy spinning be best for?
6 1/2 ft. Medium/Heavy action spinning combo. Could be used for the following - 1.) Night fishing with big plastic worms. 2.) Casting big 3/4 OZ spinnerbaits. 3.) Fishing on the moss with frog or mice lures. 4.) Casting big 3/4 oz. Rat-L-Traps. 5.) Jig fishing. 6.) Use it as a back-up rod.
