I am looking to go camping in the plano, il area and i am looking for any good campgrounds?
somewhere we can fish grill out camp over night and be able to have beverages with us looking for somewhere about 12 people can go and be in the same area
According to the tourism page on Plano's website there are two areas that you might want to check out:
YOGI BEAR CARMPGROUND- This campground was started in the 1980's. It was started mainly for children, but now pretty much anyone goes for a nice peaceful campout.
SILVER SPRINGS STATE PARK - The state of Illinois purchased the original 1,250-acre area in 1969. It is located five miles west of Yorkville in Kendall County. An additional 100 acres have since been added to the site. A 30-acre prairie restoration project began in 1980 and continues in its development with the addition of 15 acres in 1991.
