looking to grow some fish this winter. anyone know of a reputable place to buy eggs or fry? I have done a bit of reserach on this and definatley would like to give it a try. I love to garden and grow my own vegetables so i think this would be a very good project. anyone tried this before?
Growing vegetables and 'growing' (which isn't the right term to use) fish are two completely different things. Trout and Salmon eggs require very specialized conditions to hatch and unless you obtain the eggs of landlocked Salmon, these will need access to saltwater before long. Very few people will simply hand over the eggs of these fish and a lot of equipment and fishkeeping experience is needed.
